The village of Chuao, Venezuela has stood for centuries as a legend, growing what just may be the world's finest cacao beans. For some time, Valrhona and then Amedei had a lock on all the beans from Chuao, but now supply is open to a handful of companies capable of making the world's best chocolate. Bonnat crafts this bar in a tame, round style. It greets you quickly with clean fruit upfront followed by a long, creamy, buttery finish with hits of red fruit and nothing bitter. The aroma is floral and light roast.
Yes, this is an expensive chocolate bar, but keep in mind when comparing that it's a full size bar at 100g (3.5 oz). The other Chuao bars that we carry are all 50g. 75% cacao. IMPORTED FROM FRANCE.
